Vallejo Cheese Shop

Located in a historic storefront in downtown Vallejo, this project transforms a modest commercial space into a neighborhood cheese shop and deli—a place for conversation, connection, and simple pleasures.

The design preserves the character of the existing building while introducing subtle interventions to support the daily rituals of food service and retail. New elements—custom casework, restored finishes, and efficient lighting—complement the raw charm of the original space. A compact kitchen, thoughtfully integrated, supports a rotating menu of local and seasonal offerings.

The result is a welcoming, utilitarian space that celebrates food, people, and the act of gathering.
